Clear streaming Youtube Player

Youtube Player Firefox Add-Ons

One thing that makes people uncomfortable is performing multitask such as writing PhD dissertations, browsing sites, and watching Youtube songs and videos. Opening multiple tabs during research makes your system run slow. A system running slower than usual is just one of the problems that I found. Searching for the songs that you really like to listen always and typing them on YouTube search bar takes time too. Some weeks ago, I used the Facebook to store my favorite videos for songs. Somehow, Facebook disappointed me because it does not play the videos at times and I need to go to the YouTube website to watch my favorite songs again.

Yesterday, I used the Google Desktop sidebar. Yaikkssss, YouTube video is so small I can only enjoy listening the songs but not watching the videos. Working alone in my room and writing whole day could make me go brain drain at times. YouTube videos are the only thing that I enjoy watching when am tired or about to go brain drain. I love watching the videos of Millow and Blues. The Google Desktop sidebar made my computer run too slow that I hate the time I spent to wait just to load one website.

I tried exploring Firefox to respond to what I desire. I know it got many add-ons. I browsed for YouTube and out came many add-ons related to YouTube. The one I chose was YouPlayer. I just love it! YouTube at your sidebar – I can definitely watch and listen while I am doing research and writing. The video is clear, the sound is clear, you can save your playlist, and you can search for more YouTube videos right from the sidebar. Perfect…. Just perfect for me…. I was very happy when I noticed that my computer speed was not affected too…. YouPlayer Firefox add-on…. Try it… enjoy listening!

Digital camera ISO level impact on image quality

Digital Camera ISO

Digital cameras have image sensors with equivalent ISO sensitivity that inform users about the image sensor’s sensitivity to the light situation of its immediate environment. Higher ISO shows higher level of sensor sensitivity to light allowing every possibility to shoot or capture images even in low-light conditions. The ISO speed influences the digital camera’s shutter speed and aperture combination greatly. ISO speed is remarkably useful when taking indoor scenes without enough light. Indoor scenes that do not allow digital camera flash like the concerts and stage plays will find the use of ISO speed as most helpful. Indoor scenes with low light conditions need a higher ISO speed level.

Digital cameras with preset auto ISO mode automatically sets the appropriate ISO speed needed to expose the indoor scene for the capture. However, if manual setting is required, you may choose a higher ISO level until you obtain the right light exposure for the indoor scene. You may want to select your digital camera’s lowest ISO speed to produce quality image because a higher ISO level tend to record faint noises considering that image sensors are analog devices that exhibit noise. Noise is comparable to a film’s grain that influences the mood and quality of your image.

Best quality prints and images results from selecting lower or lowest ISO speed levels your digital camera may allow. You can also obtain quality images with outdoor settings having enough light by selecting the lowest ISO speed level of your digital camera.

Setting password for Linksys router

linksys-router

Internet connection may demonstrate fast or slow connection depends on three factors: the computer, the internet plan, and the number of users sharing the connection with your router.

This setting of password is applicable to both Linksys and Netgear routers. The first step is to access the link http://192. 168.1.1.

The default username is admin. The default password maybe just empty or admin.

Go to the security settings and set up a security password. Always remember the security password.

Security password could be generated using the options WPA or WEP. WEP is more convenient and easy to use. Try the WEP and see if the internet connection will run. In case the internet connection fails and there are problems getting back the connection, simply reset the router to its default by pressing the reset button for long. Then restart the computer again and redo the steps.

English grammar and misspelling checker

ms_office

Writers have real good problems maintaining writing quality. There is not much problem with misspelling because MsWord can do that. In the grammar and grammar style help with Word doc, some unacceptable words in a sentence still occur. Software was not able to detect them perfectly. There is still a loophole to the grammar checker. I hope their engineers could look into this and include tenses check too.

I was looking at the internet for grammar style softwares and WhiteSmoke came out to be the best. The yWriter software functions similar to WhiteSmoke. yWriter is an open source software and is free. I downloaded the yWriter5 full version and see the difference with MsWord. Of course, I did not buy WhiteSmoke. It is too expensive to invest at this time yet. I will explore the possibilities for MsWord and yWriter first before I buy. If you know of any software for this, then you are welcome to comment and leave the link of the site. Readers love information and free, open source references.

Google Chatback

google-talk-badge-thumb

Google has a new product called Google Chatback. You can embed this in your site to allow other people to contact you even if they don’t have a Google account. Yes dearie, pretty amazing! One thing I can’t figure out though is you are not able to save your chats in your inbox. Too bad for this one feature! I like saving my chats in Google Talk. This will make it easy for me to search and remember chats with customers for easy reference. Still this could be of great help if you really want to connect with your customers. The best that you can do is copy and paste the chat and then mail it to yourself to keep your record. I just hope Google will innovate with their Google Chatback soon. Hey Google, I need two features for this: ability to save chats and ability to block spammers. Looking forward to your product innovation!

Know your IP

ip-chicken

How many of you guys know your IPs? I don’t know mine for sure. Sometimes I feel embarrassed when a client asked me about my IP and my answer is a simple, “I do not know.” Of course, they will provide me the link to where I can get my IP address. The thing is it would make us feel more confident if we have our own answers and tools ready by the click of a mouse.

Here is the link to where you can get your IP address. IP Chickens provides your IP address when you click to their site. Actually I do not understand what an IPChicken was so I clicked on the link of one of my readers who commented on my other blog. And she did a good thing commenting at one of my blogs because I returned writing an article for her website.

Visit the site and know your IP. You may be wondering the use of IPs. You can use it when you perform remote control assignments like VNC or Team Viewer. There are lots of other things that you can find its use later. What is important is that you are ready and confident to supply the answer when you need your IP address.

Microsoft Money: managing your finances

Small businesses to medium enterprises in the internet have less manpower. Operations and finances were usually run from a single office with virtual assistants or by the entrepreneur himself. Money management is easier said than done. Training with your personal assistants is inevitable. Familiarization with the software and the tool you see appropriate for your site is critical to your operation. Software I know that is very simple and that your virtual assistants can easily learn is the Microsoft Money.

There are several sites offering free accounting money management software download in the internet for a 30 or 60 day trial as such as Microsoft Money Plus, Quickbooks or Microsoft Office Accounting. It is a one stop expense, deposits and bills management essentials that can provide you good cash flow insights any time you need the information. Firefox add-ons features

Firefox add-ons are great. You can download them and make use of them in your work. The latest add-ons tools that I discovered yesterday are PDF download, highlightAll and highlighter. PDF download will help you download webpage as PDF, open it as PDF and convert PDF webpage to html. This is great for people making research and need to copy and paste sentences or paragraphs to word documents. This will make work a lot easier and very convenient.

Highlighter enables you to highlight sentences, words, phrases or even a paragraph with different colors. Hold down the shift key then right click the page to make it work. You can assign which text will be highlighted with what color. This is convenient for research and when you are looking for multiple texts in same web page.

HighlightAll highlights only selected text in a web page with same color all throughout. It does not allow you to select multiple texts and highlight them in multiple colors unlike the highlighter. This feature is good for research on singular text or a phrase. Highlighters are important tools for research. Try to Google Firefox add-ons and look for the feature that can best help you facilitate your work and give you a better browsing experience.

Remote help

There are several ways that one can do to ask for remote help from online friends. One is by the use of of Vyew, Adobe Connect Now, gotomeeting, VNC or logmein. Spend some time to sign up and you can get either their free or trial version. If you are using Windows, you can use its remote support facility called remote assistance. Click on start then look for remote assistance.

Click on remote assistance and it will open the Windows folder for help and support center. You may invite someone to help you by the use of Windows messenger or by sending an email. I prefer to use email because it is simpler. Don’t fear about remote access because your computer will always ask for your permission to allow access to your remote assistant. You will always know when someone gains control of your computer remotely.

Stationery in Yahoo email

Yahoo recently introduced sending emails with the stationery of your choice. To be able to send one, you need to perform these steps every time you feel like sending email in cute stationery. Find the stationery button located at the far right end of the Rich text toolbar. Just in case you are not familiar with the Rich text toolbar, it is the one across the top of your compose message window that contains the B for bold, I for italicized and many more tools in it.

After you click the stationery button, a pop up window will open to let you choose your stationery design arranged in categories. Just click on the design you like and then it will be shown in your message window. I have actually experimented on this tonight and it’s really cute. Wanna have some fun sending multiple emails with different stationery designs? Click on it for each email and send to friends. Real cool designs!

Description tag

Major search engines often ignore description tags because they generate page snippets that comprises actual page content. There are times that they also use your supplied website page description tag. In case you don’t have any idea of how it looks like, refer to the description meta tag below:

<meta name = “description” content = “<theme of your site”>

Description tags information can be noted below the title tag details in search engine results. Your website could stand out well with a snappy keywords optimized description. Your site could be ranked or categorized in relevance to the keywords or phrase used in title tag and description tag. This facilitates proper indexing by spiders where your site pops up to the search page whenever someone types any of your posted keywords. It is not necessary to have all the keywords you think is good for your site. Only put selected relevant keywords that best describe your page so it will not be treated as spamming. The key is to add keywords that often appear in your body text. Keywords density also means including alternate typo spellings and synonyms.

Bookmarks: Google bookmarks versus Foxmarks

Who says that failures in your life could make you tumble down so fast? Nope it keeps me going on with my quest to be efficient with work and business as I undergo more computer failures! After a very trying hard effort to connect my internet connection from my router, which terribly at the time of my desktop computer failure failed me too, direct to my laptop, I discovered I need to have three things in life if I intend to make my operations run smooth and convenient. First I need to buy and replace my sickly desktop, second I need to have a good bookmark software or tool that will synchronize everything from multiple computers and I need to have a good paid online backup for my files and my photos.

So number 1 and number 3 I already solved except for the photo thing. I haven’t made any particular choice where to upload my photos in private. I am thinking of buying an external drive for this…. Thinking…. There can be a lot of pros and cons with external drives also aside from the cost that I am going to incur. More thoughts on bookmarks synchronization came into mind. I was choosing and comparing between Yahoo bookmarks and Google bookmarks. Since there are a lot of things I can do with Google like Google sites and Google docs, Google bookmarks won. So I started clicking and copying bookmarks from my newly reinstalled desktop yesterday morning. One thing that I found inconvenient is that Google bookmark is not able to run silently in the background. It affects work. Do you know why?

When you need to access Google bookmarks, you need to sign it with your Google account. It so happened that I have multiple Google accounts because of the blog sites that I maintained. So if I need to work on my blog I need to close the Google bookmark to be able to access my other Google blog account. One computer cannot open two Google accounts at the same time. Only one access is allowed at a time. Synchronization “click and bookmark” thing is also a tiresome process because I used multiple computers. If you can imagine what I am doing, I am experiencing minor frustrations in a day. Last night a friend of mine suggested using Foxmarks. Foxmarks is a Firefox add on that will help synchronize bookmarks from multiple computers. And one good thing that made me use it instantly is that it runs in the background automatically updating bookmarks and password changes. All bookmarks can be accessed by logging into one’s account at Foxmarks. Improve efficiency and drive convenience to your work – get Foxmarks Firefox add ons!
